As part of Kimpton Hotels, Lorien Hotel & Spa's commitment to social responsibility is viewed at every point, from the local and national levels to the global community. We take our responsibility seriously
and our commitment to care permeates every aspect of Kimpton Hotels, beginning internally with the employees at all Kimpton Hotels, in our goal to make a positive social and environmental difference in the community.
Parks for People—The Trust for Public Land
One of Kimpton Hotels' partners in supporting a sustainable planet, The Trust for Public Land (TPL) is a non-profit organization that conserves land for people to enjoy as parks, gardens and other natural sanctuaries. Since its founding in 1972, TPL has helped protect more than two million acres in 46 states. TPL offers each Kimpton Hotel guest a free subscription to its four-color national magazine, Land & People, through www.tpl.org/kimpton. TPL depends on the support of individuals, foundations and corporations; visit TPL at www.tpl.org to find out more about this amazing organization.
Red Ribbon Campaign
For years, Kimpton Hotels has been a leader in the fight against HIV. As part of this fight, Kimpton initiated its Red Ribbon Campaign, which assists HIV service organizations across North America at the local level, through employee volunteerism, HIV educational campaigns, corporate donations and raising funds for the nonprofits through special events.
Dress for Success
Behind every great woman, there's a great suit. Kimpton Hotels and Lorien Hotel & Spa invite you to support one of our corporate partners, Dress for Success, a not-for-profit organization that provides interview suits and career development guidance for low-income women entering the job market.
Lorien Hotel & Spa and Kimpton Hotels recognize it is our social duty to minimize our ecological footprint as we go about our business. Kimpton Hotels' EarthCare is our company-wide program that supports this philosophy. In addition to all the environmentally friendly practices we implement at our hotel, this program also includes a powerful combination of environmental standards, an Eco-Champions organization made up of employees throughout the company, and corporate partnerships, such as the one with Trust for Public Land.
